Comedian and author David Walliams lost his contract with longtime publisher.

Acclaimed young adult author and TV personality David Walliams has parted ways with his publisher HarperCollins UK, according to an announcement.

A representative for the firm stated: "Following a thorough review, and with the guidance of its recently appointed chief executive, HarperCollins UK has chosen to cease publishing any new titles by David Walliams."

It has been reported that the decision was taken subsequent to an review of allegations of questionable actions directed at female individuals.

The publisher has not elaborated on the specific rationale behind the move, stating: "We do not comment on internal matters."

A Highly Successful Writing Journey

Walliams ranks among Britain's most successful children's authors, having sold more than 60 million copies globally in five dozen languages.

His first children's book, *The Boy in the Dress*, was released through HarperCollins back in 2008.

A number of his works, such as *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have found new life as small-screen adaptations.

He has published more than 40 books in total, including a festive story named *Santa & Son*, which was released through HarperCollins in October.

Television and Literature

He first rose to fame on the TV sketch series *Little Britain* and has also won National Television Awards for his work as a judge on *Britain's Got Talent*.

He was made an OBE in 2017 in recognition of his work for the charitable sector and arts community.

This move occurs subsequent to the selection of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's recent CEO this past October.
